Motherhood - A new beginning !!!

On 22nd Feb 2008, I was blessed with a new addition to my family. A 2.8 kgs little angle (baby boy) was born. Since then, it has been quite an eventful period. I'm learning new things ... as obviously, i'm a new mother. :)

Wedding Anniversary

Today is my 1st Wedding Anniversary. On this day, one year ago , I got married and enterd into a new phase of life . I must confess that it has been a comfortable as of now. This I guess was possible as I entered this phase without any expectations. This may be hard to believe, but anyone who is going to be married, if you want some peace in your married life, you need to enter into it with minimal expections.

October 1983

In October 1983, my family and me went on a trip to Udaipur with Students of Daly College , Indore. That time , I was a student in the same school.

Am back with Vengence !!

A lot of things have happened in my life :) I am going to enter a wonderful stage of my life "Motherhood" . That is the sweetest and most delightful feeling that a woman can have, to have a new individual growing inside you and you have the power to feel it :->

How I got the Award from Sunil Gavaskar !!

I had participated in a play . The play was "Cinderella" and I had played the part of one of the ugly sisters. That time I was in class III (approx.). My performance was appreciated by the people and I was awarded the "Best Actress Award" that I received from Sunil Gavaskar, the next year.

I could not believe my luck that I had received the award from such a person. I have his autograph also (which my father took for me). This is all I can remember.

P.S. The first picture where I am with my parents, is the dress I wore. My make-up man was :-) my father. Lucky me !!!!

Sorry, that I have not been able to give time to my blog :( . A lot of things have taken place (personal ones) which made me concentrate on the matters that were pressing. I will try to be regular henceforth.

What happened next.............

This is an interesting event that took place when I was almost one and half (approx.) years old. My mama (maternal brother) had got married and the things of the new bride fascinated my senses. I :-) well, had a strong sense of curiosity (which I still have..... ). This is again what has been told to me by my mother, elder mama, grandmother(maternal), and by Baba(father). While roaming in the house, I saw some new things of the new bride. What attracted me was the red thing that was kept on the dressing table. Curiosity sake , I looked at it and then put it in mouth to taste it. You know what it was ???? .................................Well..... it was sindoor, which married ladies use. After that, everyone was running about, trying to get a vehicle to take me to the doctor. I was taken somehow to the doctor who had to flush it out of my mouth. As of me, I guess :-) , it must have been a very interesting event 'cause suddenly everyone was busy with me ;-).

I seriously miss the childish pranks........................................................ There are many more incidents like this.

PS. The photo is me almost 11 months old in Lucknow.

The naming ceremony and what happened next

It so happened that during the naming ceremony, a silver platter filled with things was brought before me. The platter had (well, this is what my grandmother and my father says !!) lipsticks , coins and pens. I was asked to select an object. I selected lipsticks and pens :-) Thus, it was said that through out my life , i would study and would be stylish.

Hmmmmmm.......... that is true so far :-)

What happend next was also very eventful..........

A continuation

I was born in Hooghly , West Bengal in a middle class family. Being the first born , both in the maternal as well as paternal side, I was and am an object of affection. That time I was surrounded by my late grandfathers (both paternal as well as maternal).

My father is a "probashi" (means, out side West Bengal) bengali who married my mother from Kolkata.

The 1st picture is Me, about 6 months old. Then, the next picture is of my mother holding me in her lap and the last one is my "mookhe bhaat"(naming ceremony).

:-) Well, the naming ceremony and the events after that has various interesting and sweet memories associated. It so happened .......................
